Lighting Regulations, New Rules for Metal Halide
This particular article covers the U.S. Department of Energy’s new energy-efficiency standards for ballast sold as part of new metal-halide luminaries which are sold for illumination in parking lots, roadways and warehouses. Compliance is required by Feb 10, 2017 and will effect availability of 50- 1,000 watt (W) luminaries. The new rules only cover new luminaries, not replacement ballasts.
